Next Step is one of
the most productive booking- /management agencys in the norwegian
music- and artsfield. Next Step produces more than 150
projects a year, including single event concerts, tours and other music
and art related activities.
The history of the company goes back to 1981, when managing
director Rolf Bugge started working for the Norwegian Jazz
Federation
promoting artists and booking tours, at the same time he started
working for the International Molde Jazz Festival as booking manager -
which led to his first company Giant Step,
founded in 1994, together with The Norwegian Jazz Federation and Molde
Jazz Festival.
Next Step, founded in year 2000, consists of board members and stock
holders Ola Thomasgård and Magne Orten, besides
managing director Rolf Bugge.
Next Step has provided concerts in Norway and abroad for a wide
variety of artists, including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Rickie Lee
Jones,
Van Morrison and Bobby McFerrin, to mention JUST a few.
